Urgent need for board volunteers!

It’s time for the swim team board to start planning for the upcoming season. However, several key positions on the board are vacant and need to be filled in the next few weeks in order to move forward.

The open positions are:
Vice Chair
TSA Representative (TSA = Tarheel Swim Association; this person serves as a liaison between our team and the TSA, as well as reps from other teams)

These positions are not huge time commitments overall, but they are key to making it possible to have a summer swim team.

If you are interested in volunteering for one of these, please email info@cvswimteam! I will be happy to go through the responsibilities with you so you get a better idea of the job before committing to anything. 🙂

Thank you,
2016 Chair

Since the weather looks to be chilly and damp into this evening, we will postpone the “Welcome Back/Meet our new Head Coach, Hanna Day” Pot Luck Dinner to MONDAY, May 23!! It will be from 6:30-8(ish) at the Clubhouse.

This means that practices start Tuesday, May 24th! Check out the ‘Practices and Meets’ tab to view the practice schedule by age group.

For the pot luck, we ask that each family everyone to bring a main dish or side dish AND a dessert to share! Also bring blankets/chairs as we will be sitting/eating outside on the lawn in front of the Clubhouse.

Welcome Coach Hannah!

The Crocodiles have a new head coach for the 2016 season — Hannah Day!

Coach Hannah comes to us with two years experience as an Assistant Coach for two different TSA summer league teams, Devereaux and Kildaire Farms. She also has extensive experience as a swimmer, having swum in TSA summer league for the Devereaux Devil Rays, NCHSAA high school swimming for Apex High School, and year round USA Swimming for TAC TITANS.

Coach Hannah will be graduating from Apex High School this spring and will be studying International Studies at UNC Chapel Hill starting in the Fall.

Everyone will get the chance to meet Coach Hannah in person during our season opening Pot Luck and Kick-off Party, May 19, 6:30-8pm at the Clubhouse. More information about the party will be sent out soon.

Registration and Team Swim Suits

Registration for the 2016 season (our 10th season!!) is underway! You can sign-up your swimmers using the “Registration” tab above or this link: There is not an option to pay online, so a check can be dropped off at the Chair’s house (email for the address). Thank you to all those who have signed up already.  🙂

Team Swim Suits:
We did need to order a new print this year: the TYR Mercury in green. The cost for our swim team is $38 for females and $26 for males, plus tax (this is much cheaper than the online price, so be sure to order through our local store!). If you would like to purchase this suit, please contact All American Swim Supply in Cary (1231 NW Maynard Rd) and let them know you swim with Charleston Village.

Please note: you do not need to purchase the team suit; we just ask that your child has a green and/or black swim suit for the meets.
