We’ve got our first virtual swim meet tonight, June 30th, against Brookestone! We’ve been working really hard in practice and we’re all ready to see what we can do!
We will be running this meet carefully to make sure to comply with all rules and regulations to keep us in business. Please read this post carefully as it contains a lot of important information.
First off, we ask that 6&under parents come prepared with a swim suit to be their child’s kid catcher (be in the water behind the 15 meter rope to catch them and bring them to the end of the pool). Parents of 7-8’s, 9-10’s, 11-12’s, and 13&ups are all strongly encourage to bring ONE parent per family of children in the age group!
Next, our theme for the meet is Tropical! Dress accordingly!
Here are the times that each age group will be swimming: 6&unders: 4-4:45 pm 7-8’s: 5-5:45 pm 9-10’s: 6-6:45 pm 11-12’s: 7-7:30 pm 13&ups: 7:45-8:45 pm
Next, it would be super helpful if everyone could email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to let me know if you have children that will not be there tomorrow!
Everyone should expect to swim all 4 strokes tomorrow (3 for 6&unders) unless they have a medical condition/reason they cannot, in which case, let me know if I do not know about it already! If your child is just unfamiliar or uncomfortable with it, we will give it our best shot and keep working at it! We will also be doing relays if there are enough swimmers in the age group!
Last but not least, there will not be concessions sold during this event, so please bring your own food and PLENTY of water!
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure that your summer swim season can still happen! check your email to find all the official details along with a links to register and a link for our pre-season Q & A session, and reduced rates for the season!
We’re so grateful to everyone who has put in the time and energy to sort out the rules so that everyone can be COVID-safe while getting fit in the pool this summer.
Please be sure to read the full details so that you and your swimmers can join us for a fun, safe, summer swim season!
