End of Season Celebration

You’re Invited to the CV Swim Team’s End of Year Celebration!

We are so grateful each week for the wonderful coaches and volunteers that have made this season of swimming and competition possible.
A huge thank you to Kelly Queen, Chuck Jaynes, Melanie Peeler, Tricia Casey, Mark Wilson, Yi Liao, George Pilkington and the Jr. Coaches for making virtual swim meets a success this summer by running the skeleton crew on deck to ensure times for each swimmer, officiation, teams to compete against, and so much more! And a very special thank you goes to all the parents who corralled their kids, got them to practice and meets on time, and helped keep the swimmers engaged and physically distant. This season was a real community effort!

This sadly brings us to the end of the season. Just one more meet to go 🙁 We usually call the last social of the year our team Banquet. This year, it will be all celebration and very little banquet (In lieu of the usual potluck meal, your family is welcome to partake of the Thursday night food truck, Beefy Buns, in the parking lot.) Details below!

CV Crocs Communications

2020 Team t-shirts

Tonight many of you were able to pick up your summer of 2020 CV Crocs t-shirts! These shirts are a special spin on the last several years’ shirts created by hand by the dedicated {and super talented} Melanie Peeler and Tara Muller.

These hand tye-died shirts represent so many things about our team this summer –

  1. Dedication and perseverance – by our community, coaches, and board members. WE LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!
  2. What a *crazy* swirlwind 2020 has been, and
  3. How the legacy of the team has stood the test of time. If we can swim during 2020, ya’ll, we can swim through almost anything.

So – because each shirt has been specially chosen for your child(ren), please be sure to write their name on the tag or collar so it doesn’t get lost or switched. We usually do this on pick up, but due to restrictions, we’re asking you to do this at home.

If you haven’t picked up your child’s shirt yet, you can do so at practice or the next meet. 🙂

Thank you again everyone for making the start to this season such a great experience!

Virtual Meet 2:

July 6th’s meet is going to be fun in the sun! Here’s hoping for a smooth night with no more rain-dates 🤞

Please Note: The UPDATED times below for swimmers to report to the pool for their competitions!

Again, 6&under parents please come prepared with a swim suit to be your child’s kid catcher (be in the water behind the 15 meter rope to catch them and bring them to the end of the pool).

Let’s get ready to SWIM FAST!

Tropical Night was a blast!

Tonight may have been cut short by the storm, but it was a great start to our first competition of the season.

We are so grateful to everyone for their flexibility with new roles and a new format for competing. I especially want to thank: all our junior coaches for pulling double duty by timing tonight, Melanie Peeler for ensuring that everyone’s times were recorded properly (and literally being a runner 😂🙌), George Pilkington for starting and calling events, Yi Liao for serving as our stroke and turn judge, Kelly Queen for entering times into the scoring spreadsheet, and Tara Muller for making the whole experience festive!

Did you get a photo with your swimmers by the selfie station? Share your photos with us by emailing them to or tag us in your Facebook post!

**9 & ups, we can’t wait to cheer for you on Thursday!**

Welcome to the (Tropical) swamp!
No competition can start without the national anthem!
Coach Jack keeping everyone in-line!
